February’s Letter From The Editor: Self-Care Isn’t Selfish

February; the month of love. Love for one another, but most importantly, ourselves.

Only recently did I begin to realize that a negative connotation comes with giving love to ourselves and expressing it. Showing ourselves love through acts of self-care should not be called, by any means, selfish. This is a concept we’re all over here at STYLE Canada. So much so that this month, we have weekly contests being held in partnership with b:Well to help you on your journey to incorporating more self-love and self-care into your life.

Our gal pal Courtney from Out of the Box Events will show you how to throw a Galentine’s Day party fit for a bunch of queens, and Cassandra of Tomato Tomatoe will help you whip up a special Valentine’s dinner that’ll leave you feeling just as good as it tastes. The team and I will be giving you the wrap on New York Fashion Week as well, and then I’ll be heading to Belize for some r&r. It’s my first time in Belize, so please send along any recommendations you may have! I don’t know about you, but, I’m looking forward to the sunshine next season promises.

Remember: take some time for you this February. You won’t regret it.

Happy month of love!

Elise xx
