Our Monthly Workout

This fall, we’re getting serious about our fitness! Even though we’re saying goodbye to our bikinis, it’s time to get fit for the cold seasons. It’s important not to push yourself and take each workout one day at a time. If you burn out too quickly, it can be a recipe for disaster. Soon enough, it’ll become part of your lifestyle, which should always be the end goal.

Style.ca is partnering up with @laurenalexis.bbg to teach us all about the Instagram phenomenon – #bbg and how exactly it works. Kayla Itsine’s bikini body guide is a 16-week workout plan for girls looking to gain confidence, lose weight, become fit, and feel great everyday.

We want to give you a sneak peak of the first pre-training legs and cardio workout. Here’s how it works:

Warm up for 1-3 minutes (march on the spot, jog, jumping jacks, walk, etc.)

Circuit One (timed for 7 minutes)

– 15 on the spot squats
– 24 stationary lunges (12 per side)
– Skipping (50 reps)
– Knee ups (12 per side)

Break: 30-90 seconds

Circuit Two (times for 7 minutes)

– 24 walking lunges (12 per side)
– 15 sumo squats
– 24 step ups (12 per side)
– 50 mountain climbers (25 per side)

Break: 30-90 seconds

Repeat this routine one more time for a total of 28 minutes. Don’t forget to cool down and stretch! We thought 28 minutes was nothing, but boy do we feel the burn!

Don’t forget to tag us on Instagram if you try this workout, use the hashtag #bbgwithstyle so we can follow your workout success!
