Who doesn’t love a cross country road trip? Maybe you do, but your Aries cousin probably won’t. He’d rather swing a bat at a bees nest just for the rush than be cramped in a car for 12 hours straight.

A Gemini, however, would love all the unpredictable bumps and turns that only the open road can offer.

Astrology is a fascinating way to learn more about yourself by analyzing the way your galactic alignment can dissect your personality. Whether or not you believe in astrology, its always interesting to read about what the stars have in store.

Judging by a few traits, we’re able to predict what kind of summer vacation suits you. Let’s escape the pandemic together.

AQUARIUS — January 20 to February 18

Despite starting with the word “aqua,” Aquarius is an air sign. If you’re an Aquarius, you’re probably a free spirit with a quick temperament. You love being independent and secretly, you’ve got a big heart that only the ones closest to you can see. Your ideal vacation should be something that’ll keep you stimulated, as you hate anything boring. This summer, try underwater cave swimming. Canada has some gem-like destinations. Aquarius is a zodiac sign that loves new adventures, after all.

PISCES — February 19 to March 20

Ruled by the intuitive Neptune, Pisces is a zodiac sign that holds compassion in every part of their being. If you’re a Pisces, you’re likely to value all things creative. Pisces is a water sign that keeps emotional intelligence in high regard. Your ideal vacation should be something you can do in solitude or with a few close friends. This summer, take a trip to the National Gallery of Canada. Not only is it Canada’s largest art museum, but it’s also one of the biggest in North America. The gallery is filled with incredible pieces surrounded by beautiful architecture. Pisces love creativity and this gallery is full of it.

ARIES — March 21 to April 19

The Aries zodiac sign is famous for giving people big personalities. If you’re an Aries, you’re probably quick to jump to adventure. You’re equal parts impulsive and impatient, and people love that about you. You’re a natural leader, thrill-seeker, and your ideal summer vacation should be something that represents that. If you’ve never been cliff jumping before, try it out (but be careful!). Ontario is full of beautiful, secluded spots to take the leap from.

TAURUS — April 20 to May 20

The Taurus zodiac sign is represented by a bull. And much like a bull, Taurus’ are known for being independent, intelligent, and strong-willed. Many people consider Taurus the anchor of the zodiac. If you’re a Taurus, your friends are likely to lean on you when they need stability or an honest opinion. As a Taurus, you’re probably very ambitious and set in your ways. For your ideal vacation, you’ll have to keep flexibility in mind. Vacations can often be unpredictable, but you’ll enjoy something that gives you a bit of stability (and excitement). Try taking a vintage wine tour with someone special – Niagara has an amazing one.

GEMINI — May 21 to June 20

Gemini traits can vary more than any other zodiac sign. Geminis are widely known for being unpredictable, adaptable, and impulsive. All your strangest vacation memories will be the ones with your Gemini friends. After all, they’re likely to sniff out adventure in unbecoming moments. If you’re a Gemini, you’re probably itching to keep moving. Your opinions and moods can often turn at the toss of a hat. Your ideal summer vacation is a cross country road trip: you’ll love the unpredictability of the road and you’ll make sure to take the most interesting drive to the ocean.

CANCER — June 21 to July 22

Cancer is a highly intuitive water sign, just like Pisces. If you’re a Cancer, you’ve probably got a fierce loyalty towards your loved ones. Similar to the crab that represents this sign, Cancers tend to retreat into a “shell” when hurt. It’s very common for Cancers to be introverted, preferring the company of a few close friends during a vacation rather than surrounding themselves with strangers at a party. The ideal summer vacation for a Cancer is somewhere they can relax and recharge while still having a good time. If you’re a Cancer, you’ll probably love a lakeside cottage weekend trip.

LEO — July 23 to August 22

Leo is a fire sign, and anyone who’s ever interacted with a Leo will be able to tell. Leos will generally hold their heads high, projecting a strong sense of self-confidence. If you’re a Leo, people probably love that about you. People can easily find themselves attracted to your strong personality. For your ideal summer vacation, you’ll want something that represents you at your very best. A Leo would probably love a wellness retreat or spa trip.

VIRGO — August 23 to September 22

Virgo is an earth sign that is highly focused, career driven, ambitious, analytical, and tender-hearted underneath it all. They are highly communicative and notice every little detail. If you’re a Virgo, your friends love how dependable and trustworthy you are. Because of your attention to detail, you’re probably a great teacher, editor, health professional, or musician. This summer, check out the Candian Music Hall of Fame at Studio Bell in Calgary. You’ll love discovering the past of legendary musicians and you won’t run out of things to see either.

LIBRA — September 23 to October 22

Libras are the natural diplomats of the zodiac. Out of all the signs, Libra is a natural peacekeeper. If you’re a Libra, you probably love working with kids and generally keep things light and breezy. You’re social and everyone knows it. Your ideal summer vacation would be somewhere that you can chat with locals and laugh all night. If you’re a Libra, you should check out Hot Springs Cove on Vancouver Island. The cove is beautiful, relaxing, and you’ll love the incredible view of the Pacific.

SCORPIO — October 23 to November 21

Scorpio is one of the most emotionally intense zodiac signs. They’re frequently misunderstood, but determined nonetheless. If you’re a Scorpio, you’re fiercely independent, brave, focused, dynamic, and unpredictable at times. People might call you mysterious, but they haven’t gotten the chance to get to know the real you – which you don’t mind at all. Scorpios tend to value their privacy. As a Scorpio, your ideal vacation should be one that allows you to let your wild side loose. This summer, try sandboarding in Saskatchewan’s Athabasca Sand Dunes. Sandboarding is just like surfing, only a lot hotter and drier. The Athabasca Sand Dunes are the prairies best-kept secret. The dunes have everything the desert has, including the occasional rattlesnake.

SAGITTARIUS — November 22 to December 21

Sagittarius is a sign that’s always looking to protect their freedom. As a Sagittarius, you hate being told what to do, even if you don’t know what you want. You’re explosively creative, honest, optimistic, and restless. You’ve taken lots of vacations and you want each one to give you a rush. As the most adventurous zodiac sign, a Sagittarius would love hang gliding. Also known as sky sailing or paragliding, hang gliding is a unique way to fly like a bird without being in a plane. There’s a place in Toronto that offer lessons.

CAPRICORN — December 22 to January 19

Capricorn is the most stoic of all the zodiac signs. Capricorns are persistent multitaskers who are generally very level-headed. Once you get on a Capricorn’s bad side, there’s no going back. They’ll keep a grudge the same way they keep track of everything else in their lives. If you’re a Capricorn, your friends admire you for how upfront and to the point you are. You tell it like it is, and once you have a goal in mind, there’s no turning back either. A Capricorn would love an escape room, but not just any one – how about Canada’s scariest and most haunted?
