With New York Fashion Week Fall/ Winter edition around the corner, it had me nostalgic for our favourite food and drink spots in the city. Some of these places started off as single locations when I first moved to the city over 13 years ago .. and now have multiple locations around the city. spots in the city from years past and present day. about our favourite local spots in the city.
- Levain Bakery started as a basement location on the Upper West side and has now grown to 12 locations across the US. It is still the best place to get a Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookie in the world (in my opinion!). I often grab a dozen when I am in town to bring back to friends & family.
- Rays considers itself a hometown Bar in the Lower East side of New York City. It is owned by New Yorkers and known for its laid back dive bar vibe, disco ball & a pool table. But don’t be surprised if you run into a celebrity or two there 🙂
- Keste Pizza
- Via Carota
- Mermaid Oyster Bar
- Chelsea Market
- BUON’ITALIA
- Hotel Hugo has become our home away from home during NYFW. Located in the convenient bordering Soho, Tribeca and West Village it allows us to be close to all our old NYC go tos and central to check out all that is new. You can read our full recap of our past stays at Hotel Hugo here.
- Balvanera was a spot I frequented often when living in the New York City. Chef Fernando Navas and his partner (in work and life) Meredith Boyle are the master minds behind it. Come here for a girls brunch (the sangria is a must) or a fun date night (get the empanadas). It has been so successful in NYC Lower East side that they are opening a second location in their hometown of Pittsburgh. You can read our full recap on this delicious spot in a past Dishing It Series here.
- Corner Bistro
