Cozy Up With This Year’s Hot Docs Festival In Quarantine (+ Browse The Official Lineup!)

Hot Docs is North America’s largest documentary festival, conference and market. Each year, a selection of nearly 200 cutting-edge films from Canada and around the globe are presented.

Though we would have loved to attend a screening at The Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema in Toronto’s Annex neighbourhood, we look forward to viewing some of the greatest works by Canadian filmmakers from the couch this year.

Starting today, the 2021 Hot Docs Festival will be available for audiences across Canada to stream until May 9. Members can enjoy a dynamic selection of free programming on Hot Docs at Home, plus exclusive savings on new releases and more.

Curious Minds, a new addition to Hot Docs’ 2021 programming, pairs films with engaging discussions to further explore topics and ideas. Led by experts, journalists and artists who offer personal insight and expertise, these discussions will invite audiences to “dig deeper.”

Passes, packages and tickets are now on sale, and for doc lovers, the new Unlimited Festival Pass guarantees access to all films streaming online, exclusive extended viewings, and more.

Plus, Hot Docs is offering two sizes of regular ticket packages: a five-pack and a 12-pack. Ticket package holders can stream films during Hot Docs Festival til May 9 as well.

Even better, all Curious Minds discussions will be available for free. Ticket and pass holders can also access discussions via the film streaming page (https://www.hotdocs.ca/p/curious-minds-fest).

What are we most looking forward to? Picking A.rtificial I.mmortality director Ann Shin‘s brain during her live-streamed Q&A on opening night about what separates us from machines when androids assume our identities.
