After seeing it marketed all over social media, I had to check out Men’s Market earlier this month at District 28. I had a lovely time eating oysters, dancing, watching people get haircuts (all of which I didn’t expect to do) and talking style with local designers and brand ambassadors.
According to Sponsorship and Vendor Coordinator Nick Dallman, the motivation behind the event is, “A trade show geared towards style-minded men in Toronto, a city known for its innovative style and trends. The vendors have you covered in the latest trends and fashions from head to toe. Men’s Market gives attendees the opportunity to explore Toronto’s old favourites and rising stars in style, fashion, food and drink — all while supporting the Prostate Cancer Fight Foundation and scholarship programs at George Brown College. The Men’s Market is inspired by the Gentlemen’s Expo, but gives smaller businesses the opportunity to expose their brand while covering every aspect of what it means to be a man. The event is held at District 28, a Toronto-based venue that specializes in providing a spacious loft in the heart of downtown’s Studio District.”
