HOME

Refilling is not a trend. It’s our future.

With only 9% of all plastics actually being recycled, we are in big trouble, UNLESS we all start making some easy changes in our everyday life.  The act of refilling offers just that. A tangible and less expensive alternative to single use plastic consumption.

Here is what YOU can do to begin making this change in your life. Begin by looking around your home and take stock of all the single-use plastic within it. Shampoo bottles, toothpaste tubes, laundry jugs, dish soap containers, cosmetic packaging, lotions – it’s endless.  Once you see all of these as containers with lots of life to give, there’s no turning back.  Instead of tossing them into your “recycling bin” which I like to refer to as the “No worries bin”, you can keep them and refill them again and again, thus eliminating the need to toss them out after one use.

Next, pop into one of our refilleries. (What is a refillery? Refilleries aim to reduce the number of single-use containers in the world. A refillery will sell products to customers who fill their own reused and repurposed containers therefore eliminating single-use plastic.)

At The Keep Refillery, once you arrive inside, you’ll notice that we carry everything from shampoo to dish soap to laundry detergent to multi surface sprays to hand soap to refillable deodorant and many more plastic-free alternatives!  All of the products are tested to the max by our team. If our mission is to get you to start refilling, then the product better be awesome right?  It’s all natural, biodegradable, micro plastic-free and approximately 95% Canadian-made. Not to mention, we hold all our suppliers accountable for their waste, which means when our containers are empty, the supplier needs to take them back and refill for us. When you refill, we refill.

It is a common misconception that refilling all natural products is expensive, when in fact it’s not! We took a pretty heavy deep dive into this to prove that refilling is both easy AND less expensive.  Take a leading brand of laundry detergent (you know the one in an orange or blue jug?) in a 2.5-liter container you get 67 loads for approximately $21.99. Refilling that SAME jug with our all-natural alternative you get 100 loads for around $18.00.  This is just the tip of the iceberg!

So what are you waiting for? Come into The Keep Refillery and find out for yourself! Refilling is cool and plastic, well, just isn’t. Happy Earth Hour!
