Cocooning will be the new layering: Your beloved blanket scarf just became a major fashion statement. Shawls, puffers and slouchy socks are so in for 2021, no matter the weather.

- quilted clothes (up by four times as much)
- cocoon sweater (up 155 per cent)
- cozy aesthetic outfits (up by two times as much)
- slouchy socks (up by 55 per cent)
- fluffy slippers (up by 90 per cent)

Athflow will be the new athleisure: Where athleisure meets elegance, athflow outfits will consist of flowy pants, casual jumpsuits and oversized outfits. Athflow will replace athletic clothes as the new go-to loungewear.
Searches for these items on Pinterest have increased year over year:
- home dress women (up by two times as much)
- oversized outfit (up by three times as much)
- soft outfits (up by 185 per cent)
- cotton jumpsuits for women (up by 160 per cent)
- co-ord outfits two pieces (up by 30 per cent)

“Make it” will be the new “work it”: Pinterest has predicted that Gen Z will take personalization to the next level with D.I.Y everything, from painted-on denim to custom crewneck sweatshirts.

- sweatshirt embroidery (up by seven times as much)
