What inspired you to start your journey in interior design, and can you tell us a bit about your brand?

Pink Wall Designs is a hospitality interior design company that focuses on experiential and marketing based design for Boutique Hotels, Vacation Rentals and Restaurants. – Heather & Erin

As real estate investors, both Heather and I had done our own projects from flips, to airbnb’s, to multifamily conversions and quickly realized the design part of each of these projects was not only a part we were passionate about but also talented at. Each of us thought about starting a business doing this but knew how much work it was and were hesitant to do it alone. After an introduction and a dinner, it was evident we were meant to be in business together, we are a perfect fit with complimenting skill sets and Pink Wall Designs was born. – Erin

What motivates you to create beautiful spaces, and how do you stay inspired?

Because we are hospitality designers, a large part of our inspiration is technical and comes from market research and identifying the target market of each project. After that part is established, collaboration, desired experiences, and location play a big factor in how we design. Our design choices mostly start with how a person will feel when entering a space, we aim to wow, excite and jaw drop guests of our clients. We stay inspired by traveling, researching and constantly learning about new ideas, opportunities and global trends. – Heather

How do you define your design style, and what sets your approach apart from others in the industry?

Our design style really bends and molds with our clients target market and what their guests are looking for. We’ve done rustic log home projects, pink luxury bachelorette style work and bold, punchy show stopping design. Our underlying consistent approach is that we go for unique, fearless concepts that exude high end and luxury no matter the design style and theme. – Erin

Fall Decor in 2024

For someone new to decorating, what are the easiest ways to bring a touch of fall into their home?

Accessories are the easiest way to subtly bring fall or any season into your home without having to spend a ton of money and without needing a lot of storage for the off seasons. Vases with birch and fall branches, throw blankets and pillows, rugs in smaller spaces like entryways and bathrooms, candles with darker colors and fall scents are a great experiential way to welcome fall into your home. If you’re looking for something a little more, try swapping some of your artwork on the wall, for fall nature posters and you can also play with bedding. – Heather

Can you recommend a few must-have fall decor items or tips that can transform a space?

Entryways are the best way to incorporate a new season into your home, it’s also where the most traffic usually is.

  1. Fall branches/flowers in a large vase
  2. Interior and exterior rugs
  3. Exterior planters with fall greenery
  4. Accent chair with rustic throw blanket and pillows
  5. Candles
  6. Counter/Table centerpieces – can be as simple as a glass bowl with pinecones

-Erin

How can homeowners incorporate current fall trends without a complete decor overhaul?

Throw Pillows and throw blankets are a great way to experiment with trends without risking any of your foundational design. Coffee table decor (candles, vases, statement table pieces) are also a great way to seasonally change up your decor without a complete overhaul. – Heather
