Tell us a little bit about yourself.

My name is Lenford Wilson and I am the owner and creative director of Revenge of the Geek.

What is the meaning behind the name, Revenge of the Geek?

The ‘Revenge of the Geek’ name means exactly what most people think it does. The name symbolizes the rise of the “underdog”, the upheaval of those who strive to create their own path. Revenge of the Geek aims to create a community for those who are uniquely themselves. It also celebrates “creators” and those who understand the creative hustle. We believe in connecting with those who are intrigued by unconventional paths and ways of thinking.

What inspired you to create your brand?

I have always loved fashion. I love the process of creating something out of nothing. My love for fashion was definitely sparked by my late mother. She was very passionate about fashion and interior design. I know that she would be proud to see me pursuing my creative passion.

How does your own personal style influence your vision for Revenge of the Geek?

My personal style has no limits and that is very much what I would like for Revenge of the Geek. A brand that taps into all different styles.

Tell us a few of your favourite pieces from the collection.

My favourite pieces are definitely my “one of one” pieces. They are up-cycled pieces made from vintage items that I have found. These pieces allow me to fully tap into my creativity, they don’t follow any fashion trends or standards. They are literally extensions of my creativity in a garment.

What is the biggest thing you have learned since starting your brand?

The biggest thing that I have learned would definitely have to be “lead with passion”. When you are truly passionate about what you’re doing people will feel it and they will respect it. There is energy in everything that we put out into the world . My aim is to put out an energy that inspires and earns respect.

What plans do you have in store for you and your brand?

As of right now, the only plan I have is to get my brand out to the masses.
