Tell us a bit about yourself.
I am the Creative Hair Director for Fashion Art Toronto, where I lead a team of artists who create hair concepts that bring each designer’s vision to life. Working with such a diverse and creative community has shaped how I see beauty and storytelling. Outside of FAT, I work behind the chair in Toronto, specializing in lived-in colour and effortless texture through my brand Dylan Does My Hair.
What inspires you?
I’m inspired by transformation. Seeing how hair can shift a person’s energy or complete a designer’s vision is what keeps me passionate. At FAT, I get to watch creativity unfold in real time, and that sense of collaboration and freedom always sparks new ideas for me.

Tell us the story behind your brand.
My artistry has always been rooted in connection. I started Dylan Does My Hair to share my work in an honest way, but over time it has grown into something larger. It’s become a creative space that connects fashion, community, and individuality. The work I do with FAT continues to push me creatively, and I bring that same energy into every client experience.
What’s one piece of advice you would give someone starting out in your field?
Say yes to opportunities that challenge you. Some of the best lessons come from stepping into something new. Learn from the people around you, ask questions, and stay curious. Every experience will add depth to your artistry.

What do you love most about FAT?
FAT represents everything I love about Toronto’s creative scene. It’s inclusive, fearless, and rooted in community. There’s a sense of freedom here, where every artist is encouraged to express themselves fully. It’s inspiring to see so many different voices and visions come together to create something bigger than any one person.
What does 2026 hold for you?
2026 is about collaboration and growth. I want to keep building the bridge between fashion and salon artistry through Dylan Does My Hair. More education, more creative projects, and more ways to celebrate individuality in every form of beauty.
