Tell us a bit about yourself.

My name is Anmol Handa, and I’m the designer and founder behind Anmol Handa Atelier, a brand that transforms emotion into elegance and self-expression into power. Fashion has always been my language. It’s how I tell stories that words often can’t. My journey began with a deep desire to translate emotion into design, to turn vulnerability, heartbreak, and healing into something tangible and beautiful. Over time, I realized my purpose wasn’t just to create garments, but to create energy, the kind that helps people, especially women, step into their most confident, magnetic, and empowered selves.

Through my designs, I want every woman to feel like her own muse to embrace her strength, her softness, and her sensuality. My brand encourages self-belief, transformation, and the idea that you can rebuild yourself into something even more beautiful after the storm. Whether it’s through intricate textures or daring silhouettes, my work celebrates the journey of becoming, of finding beauty in resilience and stepping unapologetically into your most radiant, femme fatale self.

What inspires you?

I’m deeply inspired by the process of evolution, how people break, rebuild, and return even more radiant than before. My muse is not perfection; it’s transformation. I draw from emotions, from the quiet ache of heartbreak to the liberating rush of rediscovery. My newest collection, “The Aftermath Bloom,” embodies this spirit. It’s about emerging from the darkness, reclaiming beauty, and embracing your most fearless, femme fatale self.

I believe inspiration doesn’t come from the outside, it blooms from within, from your ability to turn pain into power. Every piece I create is a mirror of that rebirth, a reminder that the woman you become after healing is the most dangerous and divine version of yourself. Her confidence is her armor, and her softness, her strength.

Tell us the story behind your brand/art.

Anmol Handa Atelier was created from my belief that if you take one brave step into the universe, it will reward you tenfold. The Aftermath Bloom is a reflection of that truth: a story born from heartbreak, healing, and self-awakening. I went through moments where I questioned everything, but the more I trusted the unknown, the more the universe opened its doors. That leap of faith became the foundation of my brand.

This collection symbolizes the rise after ruin, the woman who rebuilds herself and falls in love with her reflection again. It’s for anyone who has walked through emotional chaos and come out on the other side, not just whole, but divine.Every piece from The Aftermath Bloom celebrates sensuality, confidence, and the art of becoming your most empowered self. It’s not about surviving, it’s about thriving in your beauty, your power, and your truth.

What’s one piece of advice you would give someone starting out in your field?

Create from your heart, not from what you think the world wants to see. The most beautiful work is born from authenticity, from the parts of you that are raw, emotional, and real. Don’t rush your process; every delay, every obstacle, every heartbreak is shaping your artistry in ways you can’t yet see. Trust the universe’s timing, when you take one bold step, it will guide you the rest of the way.

Stay true to your vision even when it’s misunderstood. Your individuality is your magic, and no one can recreate it. Allow yourself to evolve, make mistakes, and feel deeply because that’s where the most powerful creations come from. Fashion is emotion stitched into form, and your vulnerability is your greatest strength.

What do you love most about FAT?

Fashion Art Toronto is a creative sanctuary: a space where artists can be completely themselves. It celebrates authenticity, diversity, and storytelling beyond the limits of traditional fashion. What I love most about FAT is how it encourages designers to share their truth unapologetically. It’s not just a runway, it’s a stage where vulnerability becomes art and individuality becomes power.

This season, I’m honored to return with The Aftermath Bloom, a collection that represents the beauty of emotional rebirth and the awakening of self-worth. It’s about women embracing who they’ve become after the chaos, confident, magnetic, and untouchably divine. FAT has always been about transformation, and this collection is my love letter to that spirit to bloom after every ending, and doing it in the most beautiful, fearless way possible.

I will also be receiving the Mentorship in Fashion Award this season at Fashion Art Toronto, and am very excited to be a receipient!
