Tell us a little about yourself.
I guess you could say that I am a professional yapper. In all seriousness I like to think that my purpose is inviting the confidence in others by way of their vulnerability. Right now my playground would be in the world of sports but Ive never been one to limit myself.
Being a Changemaker is all about knowing where you come from and to have the courage to take a new step forward. What gives you courage to live out your story?
Knowing that the “worst that can happen” usually isn’t as bad as you imagine it if it indeed does happen. With that being said it’s in how I’ve reworked my relationship with failure. I’m okay with falling flat on my face. The fall is where the growth comes. If I’m not messing up, I be learning which means I can’t be evolving. It’s that simple.

Everyone’s story is comprised of many chapters, what was one of the most influential ones in your journey?
Becoming a mother had to have been the most pivotal chapters in my journey.I was eight and a half months pregnant when I made my debut on Sportscentre. I had this irrational fear that once my son came, my career would be over. Quite literally the opposite happened for me.I think I really understood how much life existed outside of work and how important it was to no loose sight of that. It gave me perspective. It gave me context. It made me a better broadcaster. I was able to connect with my subjects in more meaningful ways.
What would your 15 year old self be most proud of that you have accomplished?
She would be most proud that I was able to ignore other people’s limiting beliefs over the direction of my life and stay the course of all the wild things that I wanted to do for myself. No matter how “unrealistic “ it might’ve seemed at the time.
What do you hope is the legacy you will leave behind?
I hope the legacy I leave behind is one that can prove depth and community can exist in any space. That community should be cultivated and cherished.
