A Look at ‘the edit’ Brands Joining Us this Month

With the new season approaching, we’re excited to share some new brands that are poping up in our chic general store, ‘the edit’. Known as the new boutique shop in the heart of Niagara on the Lake, ‘the edit’ is home to our classic ‘weekender’ sweater to home goods, natural beauty products and everything in between. Visit us at 1-233 King Street, NOTL every Thursday to Monday from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. to shop some pretty amazing things. Here’s a look into the brands that are joining us this month!

Shannon Passero

A thoughtful focus on minimal environmental footprint by carefully selecting materials, upcycling and working with lasting materials local to the Artisan’s maker’s regions. Utilizing small batch and Artisanal made pieces make each piece a work of Art.

Cassandra Elizabeth

This brand is all about comfort and sustainability. These staples can exist in your closet for as long as your wardrobe needs. Offering different fabrics, there is versatility in the clothing you wear from Cassandra Elizabeth. Ethically made and designed to last.

Monoxide

MONOXIDE was launched in the summer of 2012 and it all started with a broken piece of jewelry! Instead of throwing that piece away, Tyler tried to fix it herself. And just like that a fire was lit, MONOXIDE was born and Tyler found herself at the local bead store buying supplies.

Modern Sunday

Modern Sunday is a Toronto-based brand that thinks it’s cool and kind to consider how every decision we make impacts the environment – everything from fabric choices to water consumption to carbon emissions – it all plays a part. The brand focuses on making it easy for you to shop your values without compromising your style. As a proudly sustainable brand, they are committed to leaving the planet better than we found it by creating elevated garments that will last for years to come, in terms of both style and quality.

Gate Street Studio

Canadian artist Sandra Iafrate works with a bold color palette creating moving compositions in her reflections of nature, floral and figurative work. Her work is a mix of classical and contemporary bringing a nostalgic feel to her fresh colorful work. Her method is diverse including oil, acrylic, drawing mediums such as charcoal and pencil and occasionally  mixed media collage.

Pinapple Colloborative

Pineapple is led by Ariel and Atara, Dani Dillon, and many others who contribute in ways big and small to create this thriving community. Fashion Truck

Fashiontruck Canada was started by Ashley and Emily, two fashion loving friends.  These fashion vets saw a need for a new retail concept and jumped at the chance to get behind the wheel of a truck. Their first truck, Eve hit the streets of Toronto in March 2014. They love bringing their fabulous finds to festivals and concerts across Canada.
