Step into the quietude of wellness. We’ve reimagined the traditional aprés ski—descending into sanctuaries of warmth rather than snow-dusted slopes. Join us on a curated journey through some of the most luxurious spa experiences we’ve been to, where restorative treatments honour the body’s wisdom and time moves slowly. Welcome to your sanctuary of rest. Welcome to Aprés Spa in West Hollywood. We’re so glad we made the trip.
Today, we’re inviting you into the world of spas and fitness experiences in West Hollywood, a city that simply sets the bar for self care of the mind, body and soul. From movement based studios like KINRGY, inventing the HIIT workout with the first location of Barry’s and yoga at Silver Springs to all the spas you could imagine, it’s only fitting that West Hollywood celebrates their dedication to making you look and feel beautiful with September as their Month of Wellness.
The Spa
We had the opportunity to experience The Red Carpet Facial at Ole Henriksen Day Spa in West Hollywood and we took to feeling radiant from the inside out. Founded by Danish-American aesthetician Ole Henriksen, the spa carried his signature warmth in every detail: warm eucalyptus-scented towels, the soft hum of wellness rituals, and the famous “Ole Glow” facial that became a rite of passage among A-listers, starlets, and anyone who believed that great skin was its own kind of power. Known as the world’s first celebrity facialist, his spa (and world renown products) were originally developed and manufactured in Ole Henriksen’s personal kitchen. He cycled his products over 40 years ago to his only spa, located exclusively in West Hollywood.

Ole Henriksen’s legendary Red Carpet Facial is basically a Hollywood rite of passage. The facial is the ultimate Los Angeles anti-aging experience, combining HydraFacial™ exfoliation and hydration, LED therapy for fine lines and surface bacteria, and LHE microphoto technology for texture, sun damage, and lifting.
As we began the treatment, we went over exactly what the treatment would entail, but me, being one who doesn’t really go for facials, was not prepared for the pricking. At some point in the treatment, tiny needles get involved — a microneedling component that feels exactly as strange as it sounds. It’s the kind of sensation that makes you lie there thinking, is this what people pay for? And then it starts. The glow. The feeling of relaxation. The sheer joy of knowing that your skin is getting pampered by the best. By the time the treatment was done and I caught my reflection, my skin was glowing. I walked out onto Sunset Boulevard gazing up at the California sunshine and knew that this facial may have just turned me into a facial person.
