Last month, STYLE Canada checked-into The Pearle Hotel & Spa for a getaway along the waterfront in historic Burlington. Read on for all the details below.
The Vibe
When you walk into The Pearle Hotel & Spa, you’re stepping into a space of free form elegance. The hotel’s interior is inspired by the modern lakehouse, and is named after the family’s matriarch, Grandmother Pearle. As you stroll through the calming, modern lobby, up the unique spiral staircase and into your home for the night, it feels like you’ve walked into a dream land…that you may never want to leave. The lavish, raw materials take centre stage to the peaceful design aesthetics, and with the backdrop of Lake Ontario, it’s as if the architect brought the elegance of nature indoors. With 151 majestic rooms, the hotel is reminiscent of the lake houses where Grandmother Pearle spent most of her summers, and is simply a place you’ll never forget.
The Neighbourhood
Located along Lake Ontario, in historic Burlington, The Pearle Hotel & Spa is in the perfect location. This urban retreat is located between the heart of Toronto and the quaintness of Niagara, and is a space where luxury meets lifestyle. Spend the afternoon strolling along the lake, shopping in the beautiful boutiques or get in tune with your artistic side by visiting the Art Gallery of Burlington. What we love most about The Pearle, is that you’ll find many treasures in the hotel itself, so you may just want to spend your weekend getaway cocooned around delicious food at their impeccable restaurant, Isabelle, relax in their gorgeous spa or sit back and watch the water ebbing and flowing from your room.
The Room
The waterfront accommodations here at The Pearle Hotel are designed to invite you to relax and enjoy the view. With calming hues, and impeccably designed furniture and features, the room provides you with a space to find a little bit of grace in the hectic moments of your life. The luxurious linens, Serta plush bedding and pillow top mattress all invite you to sleep well each and every night you spend at The Pearle. Rooms feature locally sourced white oak paneling, and paired against the black matte fixtures, you will feel as if you’re in the middle of a tranquil forest taking the view. From studios to suites, bathtubs and rain showers each room invites you to bring in relaxation.
The Extras
Take your mom on a lovely weekend getaway (their Mother’s Day promotion runs throughout May), or embrace the tranquility of this space on your own; the first thing we highly recommend you do is to spend the afternoon at the beautiful spa.
We had the opportunity to enjoy a luxurious facial and we fell in love with our skin again. The Spa at The Pearle Hotel is the ‘ultimate source of solace’, and is designed to bring you personalized tradtional hammam spa treatments that will have you feeling rejuvenated and ready to bring a sense of lightness and peace into your days. After your afternoon getting pampered, lounge in their steam room and pool.
After you’ve rested and nurtured your body and soul at the Spa, enjoy dinner at the beautiful Isabelle restaurant. The restaurant was designed to bring together friends and family in a relaxed lakeside space. Chef Ben Heaton has created a place of sheer perfection. Isabelle is home to vibrant flavours inspired by the Mediterranean, Middle East and California and every dish we indulged in was one to be remembered. There is a calming nature to the space as they use local ingredients from their farm, and the team exubrenetly shares the process of creating each delicabtle dish. From local wines, and handcrafted cocktails, to shared platters, this is a space where every family meal will be enjoyed. Take your friends out to brunch this spring or summer at Isabelle, and they’ll be as happy as can be.
The Verdict
The verdict; don’t mind us if we just cocoon in this hotel forever, it is that beautiful of a place.
