The Review: Bronzer

Labor Day weekend is nearing and although we are excited for dark nails, fur vest and thigh high boots .. we don’t want to give up our summer glow! We rounded up our favourite bronzers to help us keep our sun kissed complexion through September.

MAC Bronzing Powder $32

We are not ashamed to admit that this has been in our make up bag since high school. Its tried and true ability to give skin a sheer, natural colour makes it a perfect add on for every day. It’s formulated to provide a smooth and even application for all skin types. It’s no wonder this product won Life & Style 2014 The Best of Beauty: Best Bronzer, its clearly been on our list for a while.

Revlon Nearly Naked Powder $12

Although not technically a bronzer, we are going to admit that we have bought a darker shade and used it as a bronzer .. maybe more than once. What we love about this product is not just its price (you can get it drug stores & Walmarts alike) but also it’s refreshingly light while creating an even look. The idea is that you forget you’re wearing any make up and for those late summer days, it’s exactly what we are looking for.

Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder $54

We loved the matte finish of this soft silky smooth bronzer. It’s formulated with the perfect mix of red and brown tones so it replicates the look of a natural tan. A major plus is that it blends seamlessly with all skin tones and has a buildable formula so you can go from “hour in the sun” to “week at the beach” with a few extra strokes of the bronzer brush.

Burberry Warm Glow $54

This was our favourite. The lightweight powder bronzer is color – matched to the skins natural bronzed tone with the pigments creating a smoother and more event looking complexion. Some of the added perks include the light speckles of glitter that added to our glow; sleek compact and light pleasant scent. Although a splurge, it was worth it!
