‘Expedition: Enjoy Winter‘ is here. Since winter solstice has passed us by, we’re feeling a little lighter knowing the days are getting longer. Plus, the shortest day of the year has come and gone.
Now, we’re so ready to enjoy every winter activity we possibly can (at a socially acceptable distance, of course).
Ready to hop on the bandwagon? Here are a few go-to winter pieces and places that help us enjoy the cold weather.
Snowboard + Skiing
Mount Tremblant: With its European charm, Quebeckers are spending more time out enjoying the beauty found in their backyards.
Sunshine Mountain Lodge: Banff’s only mountain top hotel is now offering WFH packages and we think it’s the perfect place to getaway this winter.
Sun Peaks Resort: Canada’s second largest ski area is home to diverse terrains, minimal crowds, and unbelievable deals in B.C..
Pro-tip: Hit the slopes at one of our favourite mountains with Burton’s Rewind Camber Snowboard in hand.

Skating + Tobogganing
For those who aren’t keen on snowboarding through the wilderness, why not try skating or tobogganing?
Live in Toronto? Take the kids skating through Colonel Samuel Smith Park. The idyllic outdoor ice rink loops through natural habitats, is located by the water, and makes you feel as though you’re miles away from ordinary life.
Live in Grimsby? Skate your heart out at Grimsby’s Outdoor Rink, the Frieze Box!
Don’t forget to let your inner child shine by tobogganing down any hill you see. Nowadays, many parks have designated toboggan hills which are suitable for the whole family to try.

Whether it’s a winter wonderland outside your door or just below zero, now’s the time to take in some fresh, frozen air before the weather turns.
If you’re looking for an equipment and cost-free activity, take to hiking through the hills. Many provincial parks are open and being out in the wilderness is one easy way to wash away the winter blues.
