This winter, STYLE Canada checked-into Pearadise on West Lake, a cozy Airbnb in the heart of Prince Edward County. Read on for all the details.

The Vibe

Welcome to your weekend oasis. Pearadise on West Lake is nestled on a 2 acre property with a lovely pear orchard, a heated pool, cozy outdoor firepit and sweeping lake views. As you drive up to the property, you’re wrapped in a world of ease where memories will be made with the whole family. This newly renovated 4-bedroom house is comfortably designed for you to find moments of pause throughout your time here. Nestle around the rustic fireplace sharing stories of your daily adventures, take a nap in one of the three beautifully designed living spaces, or enjoy an evening of indulging in local wines and playing board games or vintage vinyl as you watch the waves of West Lake ebb and flow against the shore. 

The home is designed for you to breathe into a place of inner calm, no matter the season. Whether you’ve traveled here in the sweet summer months or cold winter days, there is something for everyone to feel at home here. In the summer, take to kayaking and swimming in the heated pool and in those cooler months, enjoy lakeside walks, long cozy dinners, and evenings by the outdoor firepit. We were swept up in the magic of the season, and loved layering up to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors here.

The Neighbourhood

Pearadise on West Lake is centrally located between Wellington and Bloomfield, two lovely towns in Prince Edward County. Mere minutes from Wander the Resort and the Eddie Hotel and Farm, guests at Pearadise on West Lake are welcomed to explore the natural beauty that is found across The County. Explore the county’s renowned wineries, where vineyards stretch beneath a vast sky, producing exquisite wines. Savor tastings at Sandbanks Estate or indulge in the picturesque views at Norman Hardie Winery. For those seeking culinary delights, Prince Edward County boasts farm-to-table experiences like no other. Indulge in the senses enjoying dinner at Gather, The Merrill House, or The Drake Devonshire. Whether you’re strolling through lavender fields, attending lively festivals, or simply enjoying the laid-back atmosphere, Prince Edward County invites you to create lasting memories in this idyllic destination.

The Home

Pearadise on West Lake is a two-story home that invites you to sit back and enjoy the view. Light cascades into the home with expansive windows and patio doors to feel the natural wonder of the outdoors inside. The beautifully designed primary room is one of our favourites, as the floor to ceiling windows lend for perfect views of West Lake. All four bedrooms are spaciously designed with heavenly beds to cocoon into on those cold winter days. 

Catch up with friends and family as you prepare meals together in the comfortable kitchen, and spend endless hours indulging in the meals you’ve created at the spacious dinner table, as the kids lounge on the couch watching their favourite movies. Then, take to making s’mores on the fire pit outside as you gaze up at the twinkling stars in the night sky.  

The main floor is home to a spacious living and dining space, cozy kitchen, and two bathrooms and bedrooms. The lower level is home to two bedrooms (one with bunk beds for the kiddos to nestle into!), a bathroom, office and an enchanting living space that opens out towards the lake.

 

 

The home sleeps up to 10 people (max. 8 adults), which is the perfect place to bring the whole family, or enjoy a weekend away with your favourite people. This understated home is beautifully designed and is a space where we know that memories will be made.

The Extras

This two-acre property is full of places to explore. From the panoramic views of West Lake to strolling through the pear orchard, Pearadise on West Lake has it all and so much more. If you’ve landed here during the cooler months of the year, take to the outdoor fire pit and enjoy the views of the lake from the deck. We also highly recommend watching the snow fall from the living room and cozying up on one of the expansive couches with your favourite book and warm cup of coffee.

Here in the summer? Their heated pool, lakeside pergola and dock is a welcome addition to relaxing lakeside for the weekend.
