This time of year we are on the lookout for local winter staycation destinations. We had visited Elora before and stayed at the lovely Ayrshire House, where we had dinner at the renowned Elora Mill Hotel & Spa. We knew when planning out our winter travels this year we needed to check out the whole experience. And so, we “checked in” to Elora Mill Hotel & Spa. Read all about our visit below.

From the moment we arrived, the warm and attentive staff made us feel like cherished guests. The check-in process was smooth, and we were immediately captivated by the hotel’s stunning architecture, which beautifully marries the old-world charm of the mill’s heritage with modern elegance.

The moment you walk into your suite at Elora Mill Hotel & Spa, you’ll feel as if you’re swept in a fairytale. The thirty thoughtfully designed guest rooms reflect the natural landscape and history of the place. From plush king-sized beds to locally crafted furniture, guest suites were made for you to relax and rest into your weekend retreat. With a blend of natural wood floors to the original mill limestone wallks, the rich history is felt in each space. From marble walk-in showers and in-floor radiant heating, each suite has its own unique style and boasts breathtaking views of the river and the historic village, providing a serene backdrop for us to sit back, relax and enjoy the view.

Dining at Elora Mill Hotel & Spa was a culinary delight. The on-site restaurant offered a gastronomic journey with a menu showcasing locally sourced ingredients and expertly crafted dishes. Executive Chef Dacha Markovic is inspired by the geography of the hotel and continually amazes guests with dining experiences like no other. Each meal was a celebration of flavors. Whether you’re dining here for breakfast, lunch or dinner, the unparalleled view is just as exquisite as the meal itself.

One of the highlights of our stay was exploring the experiences at Elora Mill Hotel & Spa and within this gem of a town. Prior to checking in, we took a look at what Elora Experiences were being offered during our stay and we couldn’t wait to do as much (or as little!) as we wanted to while visiting. From snowshoeing to indulging in a Mimosa Breakfast the hotel is in the perfect location (and has some great local partnerships) to provide its guests with ample opportunities for incredible outdoor adventures with breathtaking views.
