This summer, STYLE Canada checked-into the Parkway Lake House, a beautifully designed Airbnb in the heart of Prince Edward County. Read on for all the details.

The Vibe

Take a moment of pause as you enter the Parkway Lake House. A moment to simply take it all in. This modern, lakeside home is where memories are made, and we were happy to call this home ours for the weekend. Parkway Lake House was designed with thought and intention; with its light, and airy feel, the home was built with care and is an open invitation for you to check out from reality for as long as you wish. 

The vibe; well, it’s something out of a storybook. From sunlight cascading through the expansive windows, the comfortable oversized couches and large wooden dining room table, are designed for you to gather with family and friends in a place where you feel most at home. The subtle colours, luxury features and statement light fixtures are a welcome reminder that even though you may be miles away from home, this modern space is filled with love and the best of the best.

The Neighbourhood

Prince Edward County, PEC, or ‘The County’ as locals call it, is located about three-hours east of Toronto and is surrounded by hundreds of kilometers of picturesque shorelines, and vast farm lands. Home to some of the most exquisite wineries in the province, artists, entrepreneurs, wine makers, and farmers flock here to enjoy the peaceful nature that is found within every village of PEC. The County is an all-year round destination. From summers on the lake, fall harvest celebrations and winters spent snow shoeing, there is something for everyone anytime of the year here.

The Parkway Lake House is located on the shores of Lake Ontario and is about a 8-minute drive into the prettiest and largest County town, Picton. From unreal restaurants – like Bocado, and quirky shops, you’ll definitely spend some time strolling through their quaint downtown. With local wineries just down the road, and Sandbanks Provincial Park a 20-minute drive away, if you haven’t figured it out already, we’re here to stay forever. 

The Home

One word…lakeside. The Parkway Lake House is a spacious, newly renovated home that feels like home. The moment you arrive, you feel that pull to simply unplug and indulge in the beauty of the natural world outside. Designed by Tiffany Leigh Design, this modern, lakeside home is an architectures dream. From a classic, sleek kitchen with top of the line appliances, to the most comfortable bedrooms and quaint sunroom, the waves rolling along the shore will lull you to sleep.

With 2 spacious levels, featuring 4 beds, two elegantly rustic living rooms, an office space, and an enclosed loft, the home is designed for folks to come with family and leave with the best of memories. The home also features two beautifully designed bathrooms (one connected to the primary room), laundry facilities, and an oversized fireplace to keep warm on those cool country evenings.

Each living space inside and outside are created with thought and intention, and are simply designed for you to relax, and enjoy the lake view.   

The Extras

Where do we begin?! Parkway Lane House is an expansive lakeside property that has a variety of outdoor spaces for you to move and indulge in all things magical about lakeside living. If you’re into watersports, take to kayaking, canoeing, or stand-up paddle boarding (free to use while here) to explore Lake Ontario.

And, if your vibe is more of a ‘lounge by the lake kind of vibe’, we suggest bringing along your favourite book and spending the day on a sun lounger. Dining outdoors is made possible with the massive outdoor dining table, and after dinner, find yourselves roasting marshmallows at the firepit, playing a round of horseshoe or resting in the four-season hot tub.
