Where to Eat, Sip & Celebrate During TIFF

The city is about to get a whole lot more interesting with a new season of the Toronto International Film Festival making its way to screens across the city beginning tomorrow. From packed patios to glowing at the premieres, some of the best TIFF moments happen outside the theatre, and we’re here for them all.

Isabelle Restaurant + Lounge

Isabelle Restaurant + Lounge at The Pearle Hotel & Spa in Burlington is celebrating TIFF with Lobby Privileges, a cocktail created exclusively for the festival. The drink is inspired by an early movie theatre tradition, when cinemas would lease “lobby privileges” to popcorn vendors, helping turn popcorn into the movie snack we know today. A twist on the Negroni, Lobby Privileges blends Campari, sweet vermouth and akvavit, finished with lemon zest for a bittersweet, citrus-forward cocktail that pairs perfectly with buttery popcorn. It’s available September 10 to 20 at Isabelle, giving you a fun way to bring a little TIFF energy outside of downtown Toronto.

Red carpet prep is starting well before the cameras start flashing. Miraj Hammam Spa is marking festival season with a limited-time treatment package focused on two TIFF essentials: glowing skin and polished nails. The Close-Up Ready TIFF Package pairs a 60-minute Custom Glow Facial with a 45-minute Miraj Manicure. Featuring Biologique Recherche skincare, the facial is tailored with one of three targeted boosters for brightness, hydration, or plumping and purification. The experience continues with nail and cuticle grooming, exfoliation and massage, finished with a polish colour of choice. Available throughout September the package offers a head-to-hands refresh ahead of TIFF premieres, parties and events.

Shangri-La Toronto

Shangri-La Toronto is going big for TIFF this year with several limited-time experiences running throughout September. The hotel’s TIFF 2026 Afternoon Tea returns from September 3 to 27, inspired by the tradition of going to the movies. There are also TIFF Signature Cocktails, plus Chef’s Cut: Director’s Edition, a cinematic take on the hotel’s Sunday roast dinner. The Shangri-La has made it very easy to turn TIFF into an entire afternoon or evening.

REIGN at Fairmont Royal York

For a proper pre-screening dinner, REIGN at Fairmont Royal York is offering a special Lights, Camera, Dine! tasting menu from September 10 to 20. The four-course menu is available nightly and is a great option if you want dinner to feel like part of the festival itself without having to overthink where to go. And because you’re right downtown, it’s easy to head straight from dinner to whatever is next.

Powder Room Cocktails & Bites

Powder Room, a timeless Supper Club and upscale cocktail experience in Toronto has created TIFF-exclusive cocktails and bites like the Rotten Tomatoes and Red Carpet Tater Tots to elevate your TIFF experience. Curated by Liberty Group’s Michelin-recognized Chef, Powder Room’s menu reimagines classic cravings with elegant flair. Every bite and sip (especially during TIFF) is meant to be savoured.
