This year, we’re running our pop-up, The Edit, in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake. “We’re so excited to be popping up this summer in our hometown of Niagara On the Lake! We’ve curated some of our favorite brands at a local and national level. Think of the edit as your chic general store. From fresh bouquets to dainty jewellery, to the newest in fashion, beauty, and home we have something for the locals and tourists alike!” says Editor-in-Chief of STYLE Canada, Elise Gasbarrino.
The Edit will feature goods from local businesses as well as other Canadian vendors. Our The Edit: Behind the Brands series will take a deeper look at the founders of our participating vendors and their stories. This article features Jenny & Andy with

SC: Tell us a bit about yourself!
J&A: We are the sister duo behind Jenny & Andy. As first generation Canadians, we grew up fully embracing the multi-cultural landscape in Toronto. We spoke Cantonese and English at home, while celebrating traditional Chinese holidays as well as North American ones. We’ve both spent time living and working abroad also – for Jenny most notably in India and Singapore; and for Andy in New York and Turks and Caicos.

SC: Tell us the story behind your brand!
J&A: Jenny & Andy is a creative children’s product maker dedicated to designing with purpose, with a special focus on promoting and educating about sensory play and child development. When children engage in play that stimulates their various senses, such as touch, sight, hearing, taste, smell, movement, and balance, they are engaging in sensory play.
We believe every child deserves to have engaging, sustainable toys without mom having to compromise her personal values in order to source high quality, ethically crafted products.
We are connected by love lines – not blood lines – as mom’s friend, ally and trusted source for solutions that are both beautiful and sustainable. Producing a Canadian-made product that is developed with care from the first swatch to the last stitch.

SC: What inspires you?
J&A: This one is easy – our daughters! Born just 3 weeks apart, our girls provide inspiration to us every day. As their needs change and they grow, we see new opportunities to offer educational and fun toys for all kids in their age range.

SC: What does 2022 hold for you?
J&A: As 2022 wraps up, we are incredible grateful for the health of our family and friends. We continue to strive to support local businesses and communities. We look forward to getting back in front of our customers and chatting in-person when our line-up of holiday pop ups and Christmas markets begins in Nov.

SC: And lastly, where’s your favourite spot to vacation?
J&A: Italy! We recently returned from a wonderful trip to the Amalfi coast. Everything about Italian, food, culture and fashion speaks to us, see attached photos 🙂
