Summer Fridays: Prince Edward County

Welcome back to our Summer Fridays Series, where we share the places we love, the moments that make a destination feel like yours, and the looks we’d wear to do it all in.

Today we’re taking you to Prince Edward County, a cool lakeside escape where country roads lead you to wineries, one of the prettiest beaches in Ontario, and perfect little farm stands. Known for its sandy shores, boutique stays and a really celebrated wine scene, PEC has this rare ability to feel easygoing and elevated at the same time.

The Look

Whether you are heading to a winery tasting or wandering around Picton, the Melaina Dress is the perfect Prince Edward County summer thing. Romantic, cute, and easy to wear, it gives you that right kind of elegance for a place that feels laidback but still special. It’s the dress made for vineyard lunches, small shop browsing and those golden hour moments that quietly turn into long summer nights.

Breakfast at Creekside Café

Some mornings in Prince Edward County are best started calmly, and Creekside Café in Wellington is exactly the place that lets you ease into your day. It’s tucked into the middle of The County, and it serves up comforting breakfasts and brunch basics, from big plates to bennys and waffles. Everything feels relaxed and welcoming, a bit unpretentious too, like a County morning should be.

Lunch at Drake Devonshire

For lunch with a view, Drake Devonshire in Wellington is where you want to land. It’s set right on the waterfront, an artful little boutique hotel and restaurant that blends lakeside charm with local flavour, and yes, that unmistakable Drake cool. The menu gives a nod to nearby farmers and vintners, so it’s the sort of place where lunch can easily slip into an afternoon of sipping, sharing, and just watching the lake do its own thing.

Yoga at The Studio PEC

PEC has this way of pushing you to exhale, so yoga feels like it belongs right there in your day. At The Studio PEC, movement seems softer and more grounded, in step with the rhythm of The County. Whether you’re gliding through class, easing into a slower ritual, or just giving yourself that small gap to reset before the day, The Studio PEC brings a calm that helps you sink in before you head back out into the sunshine.

Bike the Millennium Trail

Have bike, will travel. The Millennium Trail winds through the County, tying together the scenic bits and views to make you pull over for a minute or two. With bike rentals available right on the trail in Picton, it’s a simple way to stretch the day into your own choose-your-own-adventure kind of day. Think winery, farm stand, and café stops, all paired beautifully with those magical countryside views.

Wine Tasting with PEC Wine Tours

Summer Fridays in PEC is never really complete without a wine tasting (or two!). Discover wine country in one of our favourite places in Ontario with PEC Wine Tours. They have public and private tours geared toward your tastes, schedule, and group size. Their usual private tour is 5 and a half hours, which makes it the perfect afternoon plan. Go on, sip, explore and let the day turn into an evening enjoying a bottle of wine with your favourite people from one of the wineries you leaned into.
