Tell us a bit about yourself.

I’m a Toronto-based fashion designer and founder of Siyawareva, a brand focused on timeless, effortless pieces crafted with high-quality fabrics and strong attention to detail. My journey has taken me from studying in Australia to the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, and onto competing on Project Runway Canada, all of which have shaped my creative voice. As an immigrant in Canada, my work is rooted in resilience and intention. I design for people who value pieces that go beyond trends, clothing that feels personal, enduring, and evolves with them over time.

What inspires you?

People inspire me. I’m drawn to the stories and emotions in everyday life, the subtle moments that often go unnoticed. They make me reflect on what I value most, and that sense of meaning becomes the anchor or conception of my design.

Tell us the story behind your brand.

Siyawareva is rooted in my desire to add value to people’s lives by creating garments that feel both effortless and impactful. The brand is an expression of the inner voice, designed to reveal a deeper, more authentic version of self that the world has yet to fully see.

What’s one piece of advice you would give someone starting out in your field?

It takes time to build a brand, you have to stay faithful. Be sure to consistently add value to what you know to do and do it well and soon enough you will be a master in the craft.

What do you love most about FAT?

FAT’s commitment to Canadian fashion is genuine. Many speak about supporting the industry, but FAT actively creates opportunities and platforms for designers to grow. It represents the voice of dreamers and plays a real role in turning those dreams into reality.

What does 2026 hold for you?

It is the year of jubilee for the brand. Siyawareva is here to offer Canada the best in tailored fashion and bringing a new perspective to what Canada has always loved.
