What inspires you?

Travelling the world honestly inspires me the most. Learning the history and seeing where fashion comes from at its roots really gets my creativity flowing!
Tell us the story behind your brand/ art.
Growing up in a small rural town in Nova Scotia it was very isolating as a queer creative person!! As soon as I finished high school I moved to Toronto to try and get into the fashion industry. I wanted to become the person I wished I had known existed when I was a kid. Moving to Toronto really gave me the blank canvas to create what I dreamed of. After almost losing everything and on the bridge of moving back to Nova Scotia, it took me wearing heels to a casting of Fashion Art Toronto that piloted my career as an international model, global makeup artist, celebrity jewelry designer and magazine editor. Now my main focus is fighting for the rights of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, teaching people about sobriety and HIV AIDS through my activism and using social media as a platform to empower and educate.
What’s one piece of advice you would give someone starting out in your field?

The biggest obstacle you will ever face in this career is yourself. Don’t like self doubt or your ideas that you are not worthy of all you dream of! If you work hard and hold kindness cradled in empathy close to you anything will be possible. Just remember your talent might get you in the door but your personality will keep you there!
What do you love most about FAT?

Fashion Art Toronto is a celebration of diversity and creativity it always has been and always will be.
What does 2025 hold for you?

2025 I see my work going more internationally as there are so many communities that need help fighting for their rights. There are still 90+ countries in the world where it’s illegal to be LGBTQIA+! I hope through my fashion and advocacy we can help move the dial a bit more!
