GLOBAL CITIZEN Festival
The Global Citizen Festival will return to the iconic Great Lawn of Central Park in New York City on Saturday, September 23.The free, ticketed event will drive urgent action to End Extreme Poverty NOW, headlined by Red Hot Chili Peppers and Ms. Lauryn Hill. Megan Thee Stallion, Conan Gray and Stray Kids are also set to perform.
For the first time in a generation, the number of people living in extreme poverty is rising. The 2023 Global Citizen Festival campaign takes aim at the major issues perpetuating extreme poverty.
Mighty Niagara Film Festival
The Mighty Niagara Film Fest launches on August 16th, and continues until August 19th. It’s keenly focused on films made about, or in Niagara and by filmmakers with connections to the region. The festival uniquely makes space for the experimental and the extraordinary.
Highlights of this year include an evening of classic spaghetti westerns screen with a live score performed by The Sadies, a spotlight on legendary filmmaker Bruce Elder, and site-specific media installations by emerging artist Avery Mikolic-O’Rourke.
Boots and Hearts Music Festival
Boots and Hearts is Canada’s largest camping and music festival, held in Oro-Medonte, Ontario, at Burl’s Creek Event Grounds. This legendary festival is happening on August 10th to August 13th and features iconic country singers like Tim McGraw, Keith Urban and Nickelback. If you love country music, this is your festival.
BKIND's Montreal Shop Opening
The new BKIND boutique will officially open its doors on August 5 at 2 p.m. at 5301 Saint-Laurent Boulevard in Montreal. After several months of design, demolition and new brush strokes, the shop will feature all of its goods from their online shop paired alongside a few boutique exclusives. The shop will also have a bulk bar, where you can come and have your little jars filled.
