Montreal Fashion – Start Up Fashion Week Expands to Montreal – Le grand lancement de Start Up Fashion Week Montréal

Montreal Fashion

On July 29th, we had the chance to attend Montreal fashion Week’s (SFW) preview party at Bord’elle in Montreal,  celebrating the expansion of this not-for-profit. Established in Toronto, SFW is now launching their second location in the beautiful city that celebrates its 375 years.

This Montreal fashion event production is not only producing runway shows, but also giving opportunities to those who are starting in the industry to learn and connect with the appropriate people. So, the emerging talents really benefit from the opportunity. Founder Jodi Goodfellow said, there’s no other similar event that specially focus on the first steps in the world of fashion and that’s why Startup Fashion Week has a lot of potential.

What makes Montreal Startup Fashion week different than a normal fashion week is there’s also a fashion technology aspect and some business conferences. At the end of the week, local creators will finish beautifully with a runway “signé” by them.

Last Saturday, SFW gave us a nice taste of what is to come with a fashion presentation and few speeches by the whole team and some Canadian designers.

Startup Fashion Week is coming to Montreal on September 13th to 15th and on October 16th to 20th to Toronto. Fashion addicts will be pleased. Stay tuned!
